Aviation Safety Data Analysis
Safety data analysis aims to identify high-risk and potential hazards in aviation safety in a preemptive and predictive manner, and to support the collection, investigation, and management of information required for the operation of aviation safety programs.
Grounds for Execution
- Subparagraph 5 of Article 58 (1)(Aviation Safety Program, etc.)
- Article 135 (8)(Entrustment and Delegation of Authority) and the Enforcement Decree
- Subparagraphs 2 and 4 of Article 26 (10)(Entrustment and Delegation of Authority)
(10) In accordance with Article 135 (8) of the Aviation Safety Act, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport shall entrust each of the following affairs to the Korea Institute of Aviation Safety Technology under the Aviation Safety Technology Institute Act.
2. Analysis of information related to the identification of potential risk factors for aviation safety under Subparagraph 5 of Article 58 (1) of the Aviation Safety Act
4. Research and analysis of investigation results and collection and management of relevant information regarding aircraft accidents, serious incidents, or incidents in an effort to develop the aviation safety program under Article 58 (1) of the Aviation Safety Act
- Article 6(Businesses) of the Act on Korea Institute of Aviation Safety Technology」 and Article 2(Businesses) of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act
Article 2(Businesses) Businesses prescribed by Presidential Decree under Subparagraph 6 of Article 6 of the Act on Korea Institute of Aviation Safety Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "Act") refer to the following businesses.

Phase-by-phase development plans in preparation for the
- Safety Data Collection and Processing System (SDCPS)
- Phase IInformation regarding mandatory reporting of accidents, serious incidents and incidents.
- Phase IIExtension of the scope of incident reporting(e.g., extension of voluntary reporting by airlines)
- Phase IIIEstablishment of voluntary cooperative system to share safety information(e.g., including full-time operational information)
